How It Works

A caller will make a confidential call to the dispatch center to request a ride between the hours of 10:00p.m. and 2:00a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. A pair of volunteer teen drivers will pick up the caller and bring them to their desired location within the Waunakee city limits. The cars and drivers are constantly monitored. The cars themselves are equipped with GPS and the teen drivers are in communication with the base via cell phones. Adult supervisors are only there in case an emergency would arise and will not be reporting things like parties and drinking. The purpose of this program is to get everyone home safe!

The dispatch center is located in the Acker Builders Inc. & Acker Realty LLC. building at 244 N. Century Ave #2, Waunakee, WI 53597.
